Our Chapter History
For more than 50 years, National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, has thrived as one of the nation’s most distinctive and well-respected mother-daughter membership organizations. The Lady Bird Chapter was formed in 2010 as an expansion chapter by a group of enthusiastic mothers and daughters and received it’s charter in 2012. The Lady Bird Chapter is the newest chapter in the Katy/Fulshear/Richmond, Texas area. Our chapter was named after Lady Bird Johnson for all her philanthropic work. In our 2014-2015 year, the Lady Bird Chapter served almost 7,500 philanthropy hours with over 250 mothers and daughters working together.
Our mission is to foster the mother-daughter relationship in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. Through the mother-daughter relationship, National Charity League will develop strong women leaders serving and impacting communities today and for generations to come.
